Project Grocery Getter
Project Grocery Getter is a highly customized 1983 Chevy Malibu station wagon that was owned by our dear friend, Tom Gerrard, who passed away recently. Tom was a lifelong hot rodder, and brought us his car since he was no longer physically able to do it himself. It was an honor to get to know him, and help him achieve his dream of "One Last Hot Rod".
We removed the 305 TPI and 700R4 that had been previously installed, and replaced them with an LS376/480hp GMPP crate engine and 4L70E transmission. As with most of our LSx swap projects, we used BRP/Musclerods mounts and the matching Hedman long tube headers. We also did some suspension work, added rear disc brakes, and installed C6 Z51 front brakes using mounting brackets from KORE3. We took the car on the 2011 Hot Rod Power Tour.
